Note, right now the App World version and CrackBerry version are the same builds, which feature the trimmed down links (no downloads or app store) that App World required. We’ll soon get back up the updated CB version into the CB App store that will have all of the links. Thx for the patience! **
This is exciting! Our CrackBerry Launcher application, built for us by Fabian Heuwieser (thanks Fabian!), has been updated to version 1.93 and is now available in BlackBerry App World! The CB Launcher app places a shortcut on your BlackBerry homescreen, which when clicked on opens a simple app that allows you to jump to specific areas of the m.crackberry.com mobile site.

I get such a kick when I see a Verizon SIM card. The team over at Engadget has gotten some internal documentation on Verizon’s LTE rollout and their system upgrade to support their LTE network. Verizon’s systems are now ready to charge you and setup a LTE connections so you can see that they are moving fast with their rollout.
The documents show that Verizon is still on target with their first 30 citywide rollouts with real speeds of 5-12mbps which is almost as fast as my home cable internet. I doubt we will be seeing BlackBerrys with LTE even in 2011 but maybe a BlackBerry Tablet with LTE would be a nice perk. Hopefully RIM will jump on the LTE bandwagon early instead of letting others pave the way like they did with 3G.
For those of you participating in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, you’ll be pleased to know that version 5.0.1.32 has now been posted for download. If you are a Beta Zone user, just login to your account and grab it (If you’re signed up for the BBM program). Given the issues some users have been seeing with BlackBerry Messenger over the past week, this comes at a good time and hopefully for some users it may actually make things work a little better. No promises from me though. Hopefully, since Research In Motion has a big media push for BlackBerry Messenger they’ll soon roll this release out to everyone through BlackBerry App World. Let us know if ya see any changes or how it’s working for ya in the comments.
By now I’m sure everyone is getting a little antsy when it’s comes to RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Slider 9800. This device is set to be RIM’s new flagship device featuring a 3.2″ touch display, with no SurePress (clicking), plus full QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry 9800 which is yet to get an official name (Torch or Slider) is set to run BlackBerry 6 (OS 6.0) which will bring a long needed overhaul to the BlackBerry experience.
Our friends at MobileSyrup recently received a tip that Canada’s Rogers Wireless may be set to receive an exclusive launch on the device in Canada, however we just can’t see that happening…

This cool app installs on both your BlackBerry and PC, and then your iTunes playlists/tracks are synched with your device. The music goes to your memory card and stays there (its not a streaming app like some others) and you can sync as much as you’d like. Change a playlist in iTunes and it reflects on your BlackBerry – that’s that. The full version of Music WithMe sells for $14.99, but we have 10 free licenses to give away. Just leave a single comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at midnight PDT.
Julie let us know that RIM has offered up BlackBerry Messenger beta 5.0.1.17 to all the members of the BlackBerry Beta Zone. I had a few people confirm it and it looks like it is open to all users eligible for the Beta Zone which usually just requires you to be in supported countries. If you are not already part of the Beta Zone you can sign up at www.blackberry.com/beta or if you are already signed up just head to this link.
I think the most interesting part of the BlackBerry Messenger beta program is the features suggested by users that you can see below. Personally I think if RIM implemented half of them they would have a sweet instant messaging platform.

There’s no official video for this song, so just close your eyes and listen
As BlackBerry users we’re more than often told that we spend too much time on our devices. Granted, there are some out there that do take it to the extreme, but I think that the majority of us give it the attention that it deserves. We’re not neglecting anyone, just making sure that everything that is important to us gets their fair share of our love. The usual conversation starts as follows:
“You’re on that thing again?!? Put that @$!%&#* phone down already!”
“It’s not a phone, it’s a BlackBerry!”
The other day, while I was searching through the “intertubes”, I came across an artist who was pining for the attention of her lover. Her name is Tynisha Keli and her song is coincidentally called BlackBerry. She seems to humanize the BlackBerry, even comparing it to the “other girl”. As the saying goes; if you can’t beat them, join them! My wife did and is a happy BlackBerry user.

The device has long been talked about and it started a good many debates over what, exactly it was and what market it was intended for. Finally, the BlackBerry Curve 8910 has shown up in China in official form. Digital China and Research In Motion issued a press release today confirming the device and listing out the specifications for everyone to see.
Many people may still be asking why? But for the market it has been released in, this is a perfect addition to the BlackBerry line up. One thing we’re left wondering here is why the trackball? Don’t get us wrong, the replacement trackball is our #1 seller in the shopcrackberry store, but RIM – why would you ship new phones with the trackball still since the trackpad is so much better. And what of the BlackBerry 8980? The 8910 and the 8980 have both been referred to as "Atlas" so some unanswered questions remain here with this release.
